Lillian S. Wells was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee on August 21, 1936 to the late Raymond Small and Mary Sue Goodrich Eakins. She departed this life on February 21, 2025 at Lincoln Medical Center.
She accepted Christ in her heart at an early age and was a member of West End Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America, where Reverend Dezi Fletcher, Sr. is pastor. She attended West End High School and was a graduating member of the Class of 1955.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Conada Wells. Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories which will be shared by: her children, Bonnie (James) Simpson, Vernon Eric (Deadra) Wells, Susan Jones/Donald Simmons, and Tara Cowan; her sister, Phyliss Small Stapler of Cleveland, Ohio; her grandchildren, LaSheka (Dedrick) Elder, TaShena (Dedrick) Allen of Ooltewah, TN, Derick (Brooke) Wells of Knoxville, TN, Tevin Wells of Huntsville, AL, Jonathan Cowan and Jordyn Cowan both of Franklin, TN; great-grandchildren, DeNaizha Elder, Shayna Elder, Sanaya Elder, Donovan Allen, Jeremiah Wells, Nyla Allen, Aria Wells, and Zhia Wells; great-great grandchild, Khalee (KJ) Wells; bonus daughters, Patsy Hill and Margie Cannon; special friends, Peggy and Candy Tate; and a host of other relatives and friends.
